ARSOS VILLAGE

Meet one of the best architecturally preserved villages of Cyprus with a tradition that dates back to time, and touches the time of Homer.
The compact village founded by Arcadian settlers of the king Agapinoras after the Trojan war.

Nested in a picturesque setting, Arsos is believed to have derived its name from the sacred grove of Goddess Aphrodite that once graced the area.

Picture it... narrow cobblestone streets, clay ovens, the smell of a fragrant fresh baked bread and a meticulously made coffee!

NATURE PATH ' 6 FOUNTAINS'


This serene nature trail takes you through crystal-clear streams, under tree canopies, and across charming wooden bridges. Arsos is rich in water resources, nurturing a landscape of apple, walnut, apricot, and cherry trees. Along the 1250-meter trail, encounter six historic stone fountains, each providing refreshing spring water while you enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding nature.
This natural wealth caused a constant increase of the population, with more and more fountains built in the village over the years. These old stone built fountains are the stops across the 1250-meter long trail where hikers, apart from the amazing landscape, can also enjoy the fresh water of the springs.

KTIMA GEROLEMO

Ktima Gerolemo winery is located about 1 kilometer north of the village of Omodos at an altitude of 900 meters, in the heart of the wine producing area. We will be guided to a family winery and get introduced to the principles of organic cultivation of the vine.

Follow a cobblestoned alley of a stone-built village, one of   the best architecturally preserved villages of Cyprus that art and Chantilly lace flourishes, and lead yourself in a medieval place that feels like a place out of a book!

A medieval wine press

In in the heart of the wine producing area, at a restored medieval wine press, we will be guided and get introduced to the principles of indigenous and foreign wine varieties, and offered wine tasting sessions


OMODOS VILLAGE

Omodos village built at the slope of the mountain, between a verdant carpet of vines, surrounded by mountains that appear as though they were placed in a masterly layout, is one of the most picturesque villages of Cyprus.

The large plaza of the village, with the tiny quaint houses and the tiled roofs, clustered around the ever-present churches and the paved flowery yards, only begin to describe its beauty.

The wooden doors and the variously decorated gateways in the narrow alleys, all 'drowned' in green, lend a special beauty and charm to the village!

The Monastery of the Holy Cross

The Ornament and true pride and joy of the village that rises majestically in the village square is the Holy and Life-giving Cross- a significant part of Cyprus's cultural heritage.

The Monastery was established before St. Helen's arrival in Cyprus in 327 A.D
