ANOGYRA VILLAGE
Nestled on the southern slopes of the Troodos mountains, overlooking Pissouri Bay, Anogyra Village is a picturesque spot just a few kilometers off the Limassol-Pafos highway. For centuries, this village has been surrounded by carob orchards and is famed for its unique carob-based products, especially pasteli—a natural, nutrient-rich treat known as the "Black Gold" of Cyprus. During WWII, it sustained countless families across the island.

Halloumi cheese is considered the pre-eminent Cypriot cheese, a PDO product. A hand written document of 1556 by the Doge Leonardo Dona, testifies that the famous Cyprus cheese was known before the conquest of the island by the Turks in 1571. The owner of the workshop is ready to demonstrate us the traditional method of production, and enjoy a rich breakfast with fresh dairy products.
